![]() ![]() the only wires you'll really see are the cas and mafs running across the front of the motor. the injector wires run in the intake manifold along with wires from the mafs, cas and tps. ![]() i had done a semi tuck on it before but everything was changed just a little. the entire harness was untangled and is insanely clean. everything was untangled, lengthened, shortened or removed individually. With the body harness taken care of (for the most part) it was tie to tackle the engine harness. i was going to mount the fuse block in the glovebox, but keegan convinced me to mount it to the dash frame and it'll work out nicely. this is currently how its sitting thoughthe plan has changed slightly. with everything extended all that needs done is some loom and mounting a few factory fuses that are being reused for other things. i then lengthened the wires for the driver side (headlight, headlight motor, fender marker and bumper light) i still have to run a wire for the horns. after everything was mocked up we bolted the frame into the car and made sure everything fits perfectly. this got rid of lots of excess wire and we somehow found more stuff to completely remove. every single wire was individually untangled and cut to the proper length. we laid the dash frame against the wall and used it as a reference to mock up the wiring for how long everything needs to be. we unbolted the dash bar and took the harness with it. ![]() i don't have any pics of this step, just the finished product. That was it until now since i was focusing on other parts of the project, but we started up again last week, and it was time to tackle the mess in the dash area. but for the most part, the bundle on that side looks like thisas you can see its much smaller then the original bundle that runs there and the little lip was bent so that the wires can run on the side of the fender area instead of underneath, so there is no chance of them being rubbed through by tires.the wiring inside went from thisto this mess the only thing i still need run on that side is a single wire for the sohc sensor in the lower rad hose. on the passenger we ran wiring only for the headlight, headlight motor, wiper motor, washer motor, bumper lights and fender markers. we came to the conclusion that only a few wires need to be run outside of the cockpit. after everything was removed and the harness was stripped of the split loom and tape, we laid everything inside the car to mock it up. this project started back at the tail end of summer, so on a nice day in september we laid the entire harness out in the yard and stripped out everything not needed, and when i say stripped out, we completely removed stuff back to the smj and pulled the pins. i thought i'd rather have that harness connect at the smj and run across the dash bar next to the wiring already located there. ![]() One day i got the crazy idea to remove the section of the body harness that runs in the engine bay, the one that runs down the fender, across the rad support, up the other fender and into the smj. Large part of this project focused on the body harness. (he has literally told me what a certain wire is for based on its color and where its at ) he did most of the wiring work and is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to s13 wiring. i want to point out that a lot of the credit goes to mrgreeneyes. Now this may be a little crazier then some people want to go, but enjoy anyways. i was going to post this i my build thread but i thought this would be easier to fine for anyone searching for wire tuck info. there are many ways to do it, but i just figured i'd share mine since it is very extensive and may be useful to others. This is just meant to be a refernce to anyone wanting to do a similar type of wire tuck. ![]()
